4. Data Sharing & Disclosure
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share data only in the following circumstances:
Service Providers (Processors)
We share data with trusted third-party vendors who process data on our behalf under strict data processing agreements:
- Google (Gemini API): Your uploaded photos are transmitted to Google's Gemini API for AI processing. Google processes these images according to their API Terms and Data Processing Agreement. Images are not used to train Google's public AI models under the API terms.
- Supabase: Authentication, database storage (profiles, design history, credits), and edge function hosting.
- Stripe: Payment processing, subscription management, and fraud prevention. Stripe is a certified PCI-DSS Level 1 service provider.
- Vercel: Frontend hosting and analytics.
- PostHog: Product analytics. Records which pages you visit and which features you use, and replays of how the site was used, with everything you type and your photos and designs hidden. Linked to your account once you sign up.
- Google Tag Manager / Analytics: Aggregated website analytics and behavior tracking.
- Meta (Meta Pixel): Measures visits, sign-ups, checkouts and purchases that come from our ads on Facebook and Instagram, and helps us show those ads to people likely to find Kasaro useful. Meta receives your browser and device details, the pages you visit, and these events with the purchase amount. Your photos and designs are never sent to Meta.
Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required to do so by law or in good faith belief that such disclosure is necessary to:
- Comply with a legal obligation, court order, or government request.
- Protect the rights, property, or safety of Kasaro AI, its users, or the public.
- Investigate and prevent fraud or security incidents.
Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset sale, or bankruptcy proceeding, your data may be transferred to the successor entity. We will notify you via email and/or a prominent notice on our website at least 30 days before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
With Your Consent
We may share data with third parties when you have explicitly given consent (e.g., connecting third-party integrations from your account settings).
5. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms. When you interact with these integrations, their own privacy policies apply. We encourage you to review them:
- Google: Google Privacy Policy
- Stripe: Stripe Privacy Policy

- Vercel: Vercel Privacy Policy
- PostHog: PostHog Privacy Policy
We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party services. Providing your information to them is governed by their respective policies.
7. AI & Image Processing
When you upload a photo and generate a design, your image is transmitted over an encrypted connection to Google's Gemini API. Here's what you should know:
- Transmission: Images are sent via HTTPS to Google Gemini API endpoints for real-time processing. We do not send your images to any other AI provider.
- Google's Use: Under Google's API Terms of Service, images submitted via the API are not used to train Google's generative AI models for third-party use. They may be retained briefly for safety review and API abuse detection.
- Storage: Your original uploaded photos and generated design outputs are stored in Supabase storage, linked to your account. You can view, download, and delete them at any time from your account.
- No Human Review: Your photos are not manually reviewed by Kasaro AI staff unless we detect a policy violation or respond to a legal request.
- Sensitive Content: Do not upload photos containing sensitive personal information such as government-issued IDs, financial documents, or photos of individuals without their consent.

After the applicable retention period, data is securely deleted or anonymized. Anonymized data (which cannot be linked back to you) may be retained indefinitely for aggregate analytics.
9. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:
- Encryption in Transit: All data is transmitted over TLS 1.2+ (HTTPS).
- Encryption at Rest: Data stored in Supabase is encrypted at rest using AES-256.
- Authentication: JWT-based sessions with secure token management; OAuth 2.0 for Google sign-in.

- Secrets Management: API keys and sensitive credentials are stored as environment variables and never exposed in client-side code.
- Monitoring: We monitor for anomalous access patterns and security incidents.
Despite these measures, no system is completely secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights, we will notify you as required by applicable law, generally within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.
